THE BAKER
The first thing I learned to love to make and eat was pancakes. I always believed that mixing the batter just right, with the right emotions, is what made the pancakes thick and fluffy.
Since then, since I was young, I baked for goodness. Biting into a homemade cookie is goodness, especially after a good workout and a good meal.
At age 23, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, which meant my baking had to become even better.
I had to research every ingredient to understand how my body would process the finished product.
One day, a friend pointed out my love for baking to me and suggested I share it with others who might also be searching for decadence and health.
I followed that guidance and created an online bakery, La Verdadera Amistad, "the truest friendship,"
hoping that like a good friend I can share something good with you.
