All La Verdadera Amistad products are vegan, gluten free, organic and low glycemic. These goods are baked weekly and shipped every Saturday. All goods stay fresh in packaging for up to two weeks. Every package comes labeled with nutrition facts. Nutritional Guarantee: No dairy, gluten or synthetic ingredients are used. Baked goods are organic and vegan (with no use of honey or egg) and primary flours used are oat and quinoa. Baked goods are sweetened with coconut palm nectar – a low glycemic sugar with listed health benefits – as well as with natural fruits and superfruit powders (ie: lucama, goji, goldenberry) which are added to the baked goods to cut the amount of sugar needed and also to boost antioxidants. These goods are diabetic friendly, though diabetics will still need to take medications as directed by physicians when consuming any carbohydrate.
